Your Web Site: Push versus Pull — a marketing strategy for Internet success

The primary difference between Internet marketing and conventional direct marketing is the "Push" vs. "Pull" philosophy. With direct mail, newspaper ads, or client newsletters, you push your message out to your prospects so they will see what you want them to see. With a Web site, you have to find ways to pull your prospect to your message, and they will determine from there what they want to see.

If you're presenting timely and useful information, visitors to your Web site are getting what they came for. If you let visitors know that your page is updated frequently, they'll come back — and they'll share your Web site address with others.
