Pay a visit to your business clients

Accountants often ask me what they can do to get more work from their business clients. Here’s what I suggest:

You already visit some business clients in the normal course of your work. It’s a logical step to visit all your business clients at their office at least once a year. This no-charge visitation will be greatly appreciated by your clients.

Besides the obvious client goodwill generated by such a visit, you may learn things about your client which could lead to new engagements for your firm. That’s why scheduling these visits soon after tax season is the smart thing to do if you want to stimulate post-tax-season business client work.
